Jay R. Ashworth is a long time writer and editor, and some time blogger, on many topics related to technology and society.

One of my special interests is information taxonomy, and the related writing and editing; much of my Real Work is building and managing networks. Though my networks are substantially smaller than those built and run by many of the other contributors to this site, the confluence of my interests -- and what some people appreciate as my snarky sense of humor while others point to as evidence of my psychosis -- sort of suggested that I quarterback its launch.

Among my other (dubious) distinctions, I was the author of RFC 2100 -- and I bless Jon Postel for holding it for such a cool number.
